I believe D3 spec should out by then, no harm taking a look (and also preview the photo from S5) before deciding which way to go. :think: No real hurry to upgrade.

If resale prices are anything to go by, then any older DSLR would be "disasters" by your definition ya? Canon 10D, 20D, Nikon D70... all terrible and nasty disasters. But didn't you say the S2pro is the only Fuji worth buying?

What about performance, I don't quite understand and would appreciate if you could expand on your one liner.

I think the electonics read out is different. Maybe fujifilm don't want banding so they might not have the multi-channel high speed readout of D200.

I don't think the s5pro can hit 5fps.....

I dun mean the fps, I mean the reading (previewing) of the photos on the LCD, deleting of photos. I tried my friend's s3, going from one photo to the other is slow and deleting of photo is slow. I hope that s5 will be fast
