the shutter speed is good for this camera i took this when the fan is set to highest speed
here are 3 of them at same fan speed

Hi Guys,

Congrats to evryone who has already bought this cam, I would like to pick one too. But I am skeptical because of the price, is'nt it way too low for a 7.1MP, 10X zoomer?

Technically sound bros can tell what this cam really misses in terms of a complete prosumer?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers!

like i said earlier, i am also considering the S6500 and this S5700. now i realised that both are in different price range. so can't really compare. but i am more for the S6500 now.

not sure about the effect ccd :)

the manual zoom feels good.
and the lowest quote i got was around SGD$550 without taxes.
comes together with 1gb card and local warranty.

that's why i wonder know fujifilm s5700 with 7.1m and 10X optical zoom can get lower than SGD400.

s6500fd has bigger sensor than the s5700. it has super ccd sensor, which is a step more advanced than s5700.
on top of that, the 6500fd has wide angle!

oooo....means s5700 can get it with price lower than SGD400. but for normal camera also around SGD400 wat...

i think this is a model by fuji to slam other brand model of the same level... expensive things doesn't means good and cheap things doesn't means bad as the saying goes

hear hear. i was using a canon ps before i got the s5700, and i still prefer the colors of my fuji. :) it's an excellent camera for the price range.. i'd really recommend it. just make sure youre paying the right price.:bsmilie:

i want to share your photo eperience with using S5700. Please post any photo with detail>

1. shutter speed:
2. aperture:
3. focal length:
4. iso:
5. wb:
6. metering
etc. :)

... Omg, looks like quite a number of us got it at the wrong price.

I was 'baited' into buying the S5700 at an initial quoted price of 660!
And bought it at that price, I did... RAWRRRRR:sticktong

May I know where do the rest of you get your S5700s from?

Mine was from some Square Corner at Level One in Sim Lim Square, near/ opposite the elevators.

Anyways, just to share a couple of images too... With my this finally activated username... HEEE

I'm actually pretty happy with the camera, just hated the shop I brought it from... ROARRRRR

yup...just feel like cheated by shop promoter. S5700 is quite ok but until now i still no time to test it because busy on work. ,

hey.. nice idea of capturing reflection through the eye.
song brothers is near the elevators too :embrass:

gee, thanks.;)

I love taking eye macros...lol:cool:

Anyways I'm just hoping if any of you has any experience of being overcharged/ cheated in one way or another in Sim Lim, please PM me to let me know. Because I'm going down to CASE for a walk-in one of these days, and I just hope to have some more incidences to back up my story to convince them that they need to do something about SLS. Because I certainly heard a lot of bad things about this 'tourist hot-spot' 'household name' ever since I actually realised I was overcharge...Rawrrrrr

Oh yeah, just btw, has anyone tested S5700's stabilisation before? I'm jsut wondering if it actually works and how it works...geez. Because it appears to reduce shake by setting high shutter speeds and I'm not sure if that's effective... ;p

blue line? can you post up some samples so we can verify?
