Should still be $1399. Do give a call to the reputable shops to get a quote. :)

Haa. Okok. I am tempted to get one but am thinking how much dust my dslr and pns will collect. :(

Same here. Ever since I got the x10 and x100, my Nikon D7000 is just sitting pretty in the dry box .. I just tried my D7000 and I could have sworn it gained some weight ..

Need to ask a question... I put in a 16GB Class 10 SD card into the X100.. and taking RAW. the LED will flash like 4-5 times before I can press the play button to view. The storage seems a bit slow. Is this common? I checked, the firmware is on v1.21.

Have you tried formatting the card in camera first before using? That may help some although to be fair, writing is slow compared to a DSLR or even my G11.

Yup.. did a full format.. and everything. Just go another SD Class 10 UHS 1.. that writes 45MB/s. This one is much better. It will still take about 1-2 sec to write, but overall I really like the X100.. very good buy.

Yes the writeback is really slow. If you want to chimp your shots you should set the camera to give you a 1.5 second review after each shot. This review will appear immediately (on LCD or in the EVF) after you press the shutter release. If you don't want to look at the review you can press the shutter button to dismiss it immediately and continue shooting.

On the other hand if you don't switch on the review and press Play instead, you have to wait something like almost 2 seconds before the image appears.

There may be fuji apples but one thing's for sure, Fuji doesn't seem to go well with Apple....

Have been using Picasa to download pictures to my PC. Have been locking the SD card before downloading to prevent any strange files from being written onto my SD card causing the dreaded X100 slow start up times.

Had to download something on a Mac so did the same thing and locked the SD card before using a card reader to transfer some files to the Mac. Amazingly, despite the card being locked when I tried using the X100 again it took ages for it to start up.....

No idea why.... maybe Fuji is allergic to apples....

No it's because Apple writes stuff to the cards, causing the x100 to choke up. Same thing happens if you put the cards into an iPad using the camera connectivity kit.

If you write anything to the card on a PC the same thing would happen. Foreign data messes up the x100.

Reformat the card in the camera and it will be fine again.

yup also found this out. Now everytime after import into LR.. once the card back into the X100.. first thing is to format it.

If using windows 7, we don't have to reformat the card every time right?
