Actually I would suggest getting a thumb grip instead. It will cover the hotshoe, but also give you a firm grip on the camera that will help quite a lot espy at lower shutter speeds. I'm using a Horusbennu TG-1. My main complaint about it is that the thumb area is a bit too smooth, but the camera feels really steady in my hand. Used together with a soft-release button it's amazing.

I'm afraid it will add stress to the hot-shoe and if grip very tightly, will it bend or sort of such?
Does it gets in the way when adjusting the shutter speed dial?

So far so good. The hotshoe is really sturdy, and the dial still operates freely. To be fully honest though I usually use aperture priority so rarely use the speed dial.

No it's because Apple writes stuff to the cards, causing the x100 to choke up. Same thing happens if you put the cards into an iPad using the camera connectivity kit.

If you write anything to the card on a PC the same thing would happen. Foreign data messes up the x100.

Reformat the card in the camera and it will be fine again.

Every time I transfer to my PC I lock the card and it seems to work fine it's only when I transferred to a Mac which really slowed startup times even with the card locked. How can anything be written when it's locked?

Once reformatted everything's back to normal..... Strange...

I realised that my x100 startup time is getting longer n longer. Even when I try I wake it up from sleep mode, it takes a long time, sometimes I miss my shots cos of that

How often do I have to format? If I format it once n the start up I'd fine, but after taking some picture maybe 50 shots, the start up becomes slow again....

This is a known issue. It becomes even slower if you take out the card and insert it into the PC and some "thumbs" gets written onto the card without you knowing it. Formating the card helps. Avoid taking the card out to use while you shoot.

No wonder...... Guess I be to shoot loads, then transfer to PC & just format for the next round.

Don't remember mine coming with a SD card in the box or I just did not open up the whole content of it.

With the new 1.21 Fw, Is it worth buying? comparing it with the 1st batch of X100 with 1.1fw

Depending on the shop it's usually some cheapie card. Suggest u buy a Sandisk extreme pro 95mb/s or at least a 45mbs version .. Many reported changing the card make a lot of difference. Fuji very sensitive to quality of card

Tot EF20 is only SGD120. how much is cheaper ?

U can only go for non-dedicated flash from vivitar or sunpak or other brands... No TTL though M mode only in cam and auto on the flash unit... Looking at the price I think getting the EF-20 is wiser and gives good fill-in too... Small compact and I use it for street...

Especially if you use auto iso, TTl is important ..
