Just got one second hand for a pretty good price, US$800 (approx S$990) including Zhou leather half-case, Fuji hood kit and spare battery. In the process of putting this guy through its paces, but it's been quite a head-turner and conversation starter so far

Well.. as far as i read.. the sticky issue does not affect all the X100, only certain batch. If you get 2nd hand.. would suggest you get the later batch by looking at the serial number.

after one month of using this cam.. all I can say is that it is a very Good cam and well worth the $$.. although cannot replace my SLR..... but the picture quality when you get it right comes out just right everytime.. so much so I have decided not do any preview the picture I shoot anymore with this cam for I know it is going to be good.

Good choice! It's a fantastic camera. You should prolly call a few places and look in BnS to find out the latest prices. Users like myself honestly don't know because I've stopped tracking the prices once I got my camera.

Big electronics shops like Best is selling for $1699

The normal usual suspect camera shop going for around $1499 or less with a few freebies. Most important should be the battery.. get more as the original one cannot last you a full day of shoot.. and using flash would even be worse.

I bought mine in january at 1399 from Parisilk incl 16gb class 10 card and leather case. Offer should be better now, maybe with hood and battery at the same price.

Mine took slightly less than two weeks. Had the sticky blade issue and they changed the whole lens for me and working perfectly ever since the change.

Not too sure about that. Mine have minimal dust and they cleaned it for me without me asking. Do give them a call to find out. If I am not wrong, should be a chargeable service.

Standard warranty period is one year. Warranty can be extended for another $150 if I remember correctly. Shouldn't be a problem for the new batch I think. Mine was the early batch and once the lens was changed, everything is fine now. Don't think the new batches will have any problem.

Iirc, when i.e. when using F16 in normal bright sunny day, the image is overexposed? You can try find some video examples on YouTube.
