There's one thread for the X100, so there should be one for the X10 as well.

Here are some shots I took:

Feel free to add your own shots...

Night scene: Handheld 1s.

One thing is that it tends to sharpen everything in the frame.

Very good catch if it's 1sec handheld.

Let's support the thread. ;)

Another night image to share.

Title : Customary Test Shot

This is a Customary test shot that I do for all my new lens/cams. :bsmilie: Did some edits in LR3 to rescue some details, auto-levels, some resizing/borders in Photoshop, apply NR before uploading to Flickr from LR3. It's about a 13 secs exposure, ISO 100, 28mm, f5.6 on Velvia film simulation settings.

Title : After work on X'mas eve

iso 125, f4.5, 1/60s

Title : "Ramrod"

iso400, f4.5, 1/340s

Both shots processed in LR3, ilford Hp5+ preset and uploaded to Flickr.

Genre : Street?
Switch off the LCD, set aperture at about f4.0 - f5.6, Auto-iso, Center-focus ... use the brilliant OVF for these shots. While it's not entirely Ricoh's class when it comes to street shooting ease, I didn't feel handicapped by the AF. Wish it was a little quicker though, and that's where the Ricoh's snap focus mode is soooo useful, pre-focus (scale/zone) and just whack.. Wish Fujifilm will come up with that in the next firmware update.

Hope these few shots illustrates the versatility of x10 in streets. Oh ... did I mention I love the zoom range!

Nice thread, Bro Bernald u got some great shots there, X10 really produce quality images.
your night landscape from your home is best to proof here.

Very nice! Getting one on boxing day!

Hi Bro, thanks so much. You've got some wonderful pictures with the S5 Pro. It'll be really good to see you getting your x100 back from the svc ctr and produce beautiful images with it.

I believe all of us have come quite a long way since years ago when we are using compacts that started us the path of acquiring DSLRs, and bigger cameras that will give us the images we want. Technology have come a long way, and now compacts like x10, made us go back to those days when we were just carrying our compacts for hols, where we really enjoyed photography even if it's just family shots, or the usual document-I-am-there shots, without losing too much quality from the DSLRs we have now.

What I am pleasantly surprised and pleased with is I can still compose with an Optical Viewfinder (and not squint), and the images it produces for sharing on Flickr/Web or even for 4R prints is excellent, and 1 most important thing is I don't have to lug kilograms of equipments (holidays are meant to be holidays).

I am sure there'll be even more advancements in compacts in the years to come, but x10's really good in the class it's competing with. Fantastic camera.
