thanks for your comments!during my recent trip, i was using a F31 while my friend has a ixus850. I like the ixus in term of size, wide angle, easier-to-use-interface (i've been a canon user), the distortion on the LCD screen also appear much better than F31.
But after viewing the pictures from the Fuji on my PC, i am impressed by the quality of the pictures and the ISO performance. At 800 they still looked good, not sure how the ixus fared at that iso. In addition, i didn't have to charge my battery during my trip (1 week..400 pics plus viewing on LCD).
After returning the F31 to my friend, i am even more determined to wait for Fuji to come out with a wide angle version. !
of cos you can, but i don quite recommand since the fuji will always bump up the ISO to 800-3200 so much so that the shutter speed is a little faster than what is required for shots without handshake. :cry:i would also like to know for taking indoor shots with low light, can one set the camera to auto and the cam will detect what iso settings to use automatically to take nice shots?

Thanks Antz for your suggestion..
actually i only need the cam ard Oct/Nov
Hopefully a new model will come out by then?
But i believe it is not available in auto mode... only a/s mode.F31fd has auto(400), auto(800) and auto(1600). I think using them to cap max ISO and at the same time allow some flexibility of having lower ISO is better.
wow, the "anti-shake" can freeze a subject!Hi guys.... just puzzled about something... hope someone can clarify for me.. Canon Digital IXUS 850 IS has optical image stabilization which i suppose is "anti-shake" either to reduce ur shaky hands vibration or reduce blur from the moving subject. Fujifilm FinePix F31fd has picture stabilization which i cant get much info on wat is it.:nono: I got pretty shaky hands...so "anti-shake" is pretty essential of a feature to me. :what: Can someone rectify? Also, does panasonic has the best digital cameras "anti-shake" capability?
But i believe it is not available in auto mode... only a/s mode.
thats the point... im answering someone who ask if that will happen in "auto" mode, not manual/a/s modeit's in Manual and A/S modes only.
