so i need cld jus use the "auto" function on the f31d and produce nuice pics?

auto mode cranks iso to 800...which is not that great..

suggest using manual mode and set to iso 100

or use the natural light/flash mode where 2 shots are taken consecutively...one with flash the other without, relying on natural light

But the pricing of f31fd is lower, so why not?;) I would rather have a cam that is good on day shoot and excellent on night shoot then one that is excellent on day shoot, but not so good in night shoot....and the former is cheaper than the latter with bigger sensor size (1/1.7" VS 1/2.5"). Again, why not:dunno:

coz i need true full manual controls.. that's why and runs on friendly rechargable AA batteries :bsmilie: i have 8 new orange Sanyo 2500mah batteries, which effectively means 4 sets of batteries :) i need true image stabliser too..

i can live with other camera, its low light shots are still decent... :bsmilie: backed up with actual photos from the other thread that i created....

What do you mean by full manual? Personally, I think such short lens doesn't need an IS...cams like S5 IS deserve one. Yah, the AA batt is convenient I would say.
