No worries bro.

Discussion is healthy. Why did you jump to N when you had the K10D/K20D? The K20D IMO is very good already and the K-7 with the same sensor but tweaked is even better.
already got a camera that serves the former. i am looking for something small n easy to use for travel and stuff.![]()
I switched mainly because of availability of lenses locally (new and used).
Secondly, somehow my hand fits better with Nikon.
K10D and K20D grips are a tad big and "squarish".
But, that K7 grip looks comfortable.
That sounds about right.
I think the lack of focus speed is partly due to the lack of ring USM in the Pentax lenses while the competition (C, N, S) have ring USM on most of their lenses. DA* lenses have the micromotor instead of the ceramic ring drive found in Canikon.
K-7's AF-C is definitely improved over the K20D, but still not as good as the A700 or D300. I tried out an A700 with kit lens (non USM?) yesterday at the Sony store, and the thing was bloody fast and accurate...damn..it 'feels' even faster than the D300. K-7 is definitely not as fast. I am not impressed by Canon's AF-C; the few times I tried it on the 50D and 5D-II with an L lens, it struggled to track properly and the shots were OOF.
TBH, I've not been bothered by the K20D's shutter 'lag', so no complaints on that front.
You should have asked the previous Distributor about the special grip for the K10D/K20D. Some of the guys have changed theirs and are lovin' it.
I am waiting for Emjay to bring it in for me to change to it.
bro, can explain a bit on this?? what special grip??

No one told me this special grip ....I am using BG2 ..
We know Pentax K10D and K20D got some metering issues when using a full manual lens metering w/ the green button. Someone asked me to test out K-7 and see if Pentax fixed this metering problem.
I did some very quick test this morning w/ a K10D and K-7, and an good working condition M50/1.4 lens (no stick aperture blades or whatsoever), both indoor and outdoor.
Here are outdoor testing results, ISO set to 100 on both cameras, used M mode and pressed greet button to meter, metering mode set to spot metering (but I guess it doesn't make any difference if set to other mode since it's a full manual lens). All shots were taken handheld but I tried to focus at the same spot:

Since it's partly cloudy in the morning, the brightness wasn't the same when I tested the two cameras. But this won't affect the actual metering accuracy I guess.
Here are a couple of indoor testing shots, same as the outdoor testings except ISO was set to 400 on both cameras:

I did several metering tests (by pressing the green button several times) before I took each shot, just make sure it's not some random metering result. Seems the M50/1.4 lens works pretty well on K-7 w/ the green button for metering. How do you think?
There is a reddish tint to the K7 pics. Are the WB the same?
metering for K20D with green button on manual lens got problem meh ? spot metering is very accurate as far as i know... always between zone 5 and 6 on the histrogram... its very accurate...
