* Day 04 - Whew...... finally.. the last day of the tour.....getting quite a bit of burnt here and there liao.... heh heh heh

Day 04 - Enroute to lunch - Finally, the end of the Bali Experience is approaching. As much as I was reluctant to leave, a part of me still yearns for the generous comforts of home. Here's a shot out of the bus window (yet again) : )

Day 04 - Unknown - Okie... for the 4th day I forgot totally to ask the tour guide about the names of the places we are visiting. This shot was taken after lunch at a resturant opened by a Hong Kong guy. Food's so-so so before we depart from the place, I went around for a look see and spotted this friendly old guy sitting under the shade of a tree, as I walked over, I greeted him with a smilie and a "Selamat So- re" or Good afternoon. A good way to start a conversation : ) Although we both speak very different languages and definitely a lot of difficulties in understanding each other but I view ourselves at that point in time as 2 humans without any boundaries. He obliged politely for a photo when I pointed to my camera and his smile said it all : )

Day 04 - Uluwatu - Okie in my eagerness to shoot, I have actually forgotten to ask the tour guide for the name of the places we are going today! The situation was like this: as our last day in Bali was to be free and easy (doing boring last minute shopping), the tour guide offered to bring us around for a scenic tour that the travel itinary didn't cover, for a small fee of coz' so here's one of the places. * Thanks to Bjorn Grotting of www.indonesiaphoto.com, I have gotten a positive ID of this place - Welcome to the scenic Pura Luhur Uluwatu (Temple) - beautifully located on top of a high cliff

Day 04 - Uluwatu - Here's a view of the cliffs that faces the Bali Sea in the North

Day 04 - Uluwatu - A breath-taking view from Pura Luhur Uluwatu. An interesting note, this place has again many native monkeys and are not as tame as those found in Mengwi Temple.. so they would snatch your stuff and anything they can get their hands on when you are not paying attention.. heeheehee

* continued - Day 04

Day 04 - Unknown... okie... again, I'm lost in translation. I dunno where this place but it has really tall stone monuments in strangely regular intervals that decorate this place. *I appreciate anyone who can ID this place to provide me with the name in the comment column. Thanks! Here's a lone tree on top of one of the stone monuments.

Day 04 - Unknown - Here's one of the landmarks. There's also a huge Buddha's head to the left of this pic (cropped away)

Day 04 - Unknown - Another attempt to make worth my very brief visit to this awesome scenic place in Bali

Day 04 - Unknown - As we head out to the carpark, spotted this showhouse and venture in. The temperture outside around a "nice" 35 degrees, evening approaches.. here's a room that's so stifling, you wish you were out in 3 seconds! It's almost baking you dry with heat... so managed to take a few snap shots and quickly ran outside for air... Marilyn Monroe's wood carving... amazing huh.. it's life size btw

Day 04 - Denpasar Airport

Well.. the calling of home sounded more prominent as we all sat waiting for the gate to open for boarding. This trip has indeed been very rewarding in many aspects and I, sadly, had only managed to scratch the topsoil of this rich heritage land. There's just so many things to experience here! The warmth of the Balinese people, the simplicity of life here, the quiet and slow pace of lifestyle of these people are appealing factors for a revisit to Bali in the near future. I do hope that my humble presentation of my trip to Bali has given you a small insight of the beauty of the island.

Till the next trip! : )

:sweat: Hope you guys have enjoyed these shots as much as I have enjoyed taking them!

heye, thanks! :)

yeah.. I think it could be Adam's laptop that need a little calibrations. From what I see from his display it is a lot darker and is more blue saturated.

the horse is a bonus.. haha :D

shld have guessed yesterday that laptop does appear more wash out (adam no offence ;) ) most of the time, forgot to take that into consideration when viewing.
