You may follow the instruction manual provided for the change,
if not drop by for CSC for the service. Not mistake CSC charge with S$20.
I change it on my 40D cam.
Do it under you own risk.

Wa lau,last time i got the grid focus screen for my cam and on the way collect my serviced cam and asked the front desk, can the CSC help me changes the focus screen for my cam.
she reply yes , but kena pay $20 for it.
Later went back home and the changes of the focus screen in the cam not last more than 5minutes.After read of the instruction manual. Lucky i did it. If not S$20 has paid to CSC.

Confirm there is no charge for changing the focusing screen(not replacing it). Just show them the recipt that u purchase from vivo canonlink and they will do just change it in a few sec.

Opos, i got mine from sim lim level 6, that the difference.
Hope fellow bro op to change the focus screen of the cam, may know where the better place to go along.

Rough calculation of 50 set x S$3800 = S$190,000. :lovegrin: not bad canon for current suitation.

First time it might take 5 min. The 2nd time will be under one min. I am not sure why everyone is afraid of changing the screen themselves. There is not much risk involve as long as you make sure you don't touch the screen.

My concern about changing screen is more on getting dust inside the camera so going to Vivo Canon or the shop you bought the screen from is not such a good idea as moving people will introduce air current and might get dust into the camera while they help you change the screen.

Actually, it's not as hard as you think. Just do it in a clean room where there isn't a lot of dust flying in (ya like we know, well I mean...). If dust gets in, it's prolly at the mirror or the focussing screen area which does not affect the picture. Sensor will always be closed anyway. When done, just hold with camera face down and dust-blow it lor. Changed my 40D's screen in no more than 2 mins - straight forward.

Dang, how come can get from Cathay, I thought forever out of stock. Waiting for Canon Vivo to call me....

Yeah, with the recent price hike, the best deal will be getting the 5D2 kit. With the body at $3,800, your 24-105 only costs $1,430.

There are already people trying to sell the lens from the kit set at $1,700 (brand new) which is still lower than the 24-105 (with box) price...
