Jump subject, has anyone sent their 5DMII to CSC to get the CF Door creaking sound fixed? I know I am anal but am wondering if the technicians have any solution for this cuz, well, it itches me at times la.

Hi guys of the 5D II community, anyone upgraded from 5D and is there a compelling reason to do so? I am currently on 5D; any adv would be appreciated. I am into juz still pics, landscapes to be exact. Thx...

Basically in 5DMII, I see major diffs are only Megapixel, High ISO control and Video. If you don't need these, your 5D should still suffice.

In fact, I just ordered a 5D Classic cuz it's that good.

better DIY a bit with double side tape with soft sponge. it may solve the issue.
waiting from C, it may take sometime , as it happen on the 5D mirror down, fews months back C offer FOC repair. It not a major for them . it just a minor minor for the creaking sound
on the battery door. It important get more good image from the cam..:)
i understand sometime that little detail may bored. Not much of choice, live with it first.

Yes yes, of course image matters. This is like seeing a 10mm thread coming out from in your new $200 Nike shoes' sole - still comfortable but........ Haha, Ok whatever. It just itches me if you know what I mean.

If 5D's enough for u to use, don't waste the money.

Mine doesn't have a creaking sound (at least not yet) but it moves a little when I hold the camera or am I gripping it too hard or just being plain fussy? I like my camera to feel like one whole piece without any piece wobbling just a tiny bit ...... anyone experienced that with theirs?

A lot are (from what I've seen on forums) and today I happen to have lunch at Vivo decided to bring it to CSC... well, no real solutions yet cuz they just pasted a small black felt on that area.

Just want to check with you guys, if anyone experience a "hot/dead pixel" on your 5DMrkII. My friend noticed it when we did a night shoot, shutter set to 8sec.

Funny thing is we send it to CSC last night and they say its does and they just use a blower and returned it to my friend in 5mins. We tested it right there and still see it we keep on explaining its not dust but a possible dead pixel. When we finally explained the issue they say it will take 2-3weeks to order a sensor. We were really disappointed since this is a 2mos old camera and we were suppose to use it for a wedding shot.

So, just continue with your wedding shot while waiting for the sensor. The dead/stuck pixel problem won't affect your wedding photos...

The dead/stuck pixel problem is a common one with such a high MP camera. For some, they are not bothered by it with the type of photos they take and if you feel uncomfortable, just wait for the parts to come and have it replace.

If the cam are within 7 days from the shop return policy.
that cam may return to the shop for exchanges.
If more than 7 days, only way heading to the CSC.
ask for a loan unit from then since the cam need to with them......

1) IT Show sells 32GB CF card Sandisk 133X, anyone know if this can be used for 5D M2?

2) Another shop sells a brand call photo fast, also has 32BG CF, claims to be 150 times.

3) what is the minimum speed for read write to be consider good enough for 5DE Mark2?

I do understand the dead pixel not affecting the photo, I was just checking if it happened to some guys here but doesnt seem to be so common.

Just too bad CSC has no immediate support and wasn't happy with their poor troubleshooting, convincing the customer that using a blower would fix it. Specially for a higher end camera.

Thanks, camera is almost 2mos now so cant return and we also dont know if if was there from the start. We just noticed it when doing night shot or black dark background). Right now we are just waiting for replacement sensor, that was the solution. We just have to wait. For loaning part I think no need, I can lend her my camera from the Dark Side (please dont kick me out here  )

Sorry for the long post, resting my case now.
