if it's <SGD3.5k, we've got a winner

There's actually 51 hidden AF points in there. You just have to 'unlock' it just like the iPhone. LOL!!!
i know i know. It's just like the old contra code. use the jog key, up up down down left right left right FE/lock shutter FE/lock shutter PLAY Off/On

There you go. 51 AF points. :D

Aiming to get this as a major upgrade from my existing setup. Haven't posted for a while, just find it a bit surprising over the seemingly faulting of af points and fps.

I guess this upgrade appeals more to people who are aiming for excellant low light photos?

Being an event shooter, I know the limitations of my existing cam, and this cam satisfies it, if my standard of shooting can improve proportionately ha. What happen to focus recompose? I'm struggling to change af points on the fly with my 9 af points already, and anything more is a bonus since 1 is enough?

And actually is it more impt to predict the moment rather than bursting at >6fps to capture anything?

I guess at the end of the day what cam you get is also highly dependant on the genre you shoot, and whether you can make full use of it bah, my two cents take on all these =)
sometimes when you're shooting sports where the subject rapidly moves away from your plane of focus, more invisible AF points would really help improve the keeper rate of photos. :)

if you're shooting sports (for a living), you'd probably be better off with a dedicated sports camera

unfortunately those cameras are well beyond the financial reaches of a student. lol. So I was hoping the 5Dmkii would bridge that gap, even a little. :P

Canon US price list $2699USD... i think when it reaches singapore we must prepare at least 4k sia if buying extra batt or battery grip.
thought of buying it to use as my primary body :)
it is clear that where my bonus will end up at haha...

... and that applies to the original 5D too

I guess it is too hard for some people to sink into reality to understand that :sweatsm:

Yeah, tell that to this photographer too... using a 5D during 2007 Canadian GP. How dare he?!?! :bsmilie:

walao..... his 5D can shoot such nice photos, my 5D cannot.

*clearly* is because my 5D is faulty :(
must go CSC and bang table liao....

hahahahahahahahahahaha

I've tried the 5D2 during photokina.
Based on feelings and some visual observation.

1) The focusing speed is fast, I tried it with 24-70 n 85/1.2 (Based on my feeling, faster than D700)
2) ISO12800 has banding. (From the few photos I checked on the LCD)
3) ISO6400 noise is not as good as D700. BUt much better than A900.
4) Handling is good. Nice feeling.
5) Video recording is responsive.

Overall, I think it's a very nice camera. :)

It may about time for MO of this camera 5D MK11 with once of the shop at singapore.
With huge amount of potential buyer , it may get better discount in return of the buyer in single transcation. :bsmilie:

Oooh! How I wish I had the 5DM2 during the Singapore GP! I had to shoot at ISO1600 and the noise from my 400D is simply unbearable... :(

**Edit: 400D...NOT 40D. Paiseh
