EM-10 Official! The OM-D for All!

wondering what kind of spare batts do you guys use? if there's a 3rd party one, any recommendations? thanks.

The $998 with 2 lenses promo has ended. There will likely be one coming up for Chinese New Yr but no promises it's as good.

BnS prices are always between balancing the seller wanting to min losses and buying paying the least ;) but I've seen EM10 at $450 with warranty sold before

Shops still don't sell body only?

Hi all,

I also bought a EM10 for my travel needs. Am a Canon 7D user.

Now, I face this irritating problem and if you have such problem, pls kindly advise:

It seems that I kept taking blur images using this cam. I do admit I moved a bit sometimes.

1) Is it becoz of the much smaller size of EM10 and thus make it harder to hold steady? Will getting a L Grip helps?
2) Any remedies to this problem?

TIA

Why dont you just tuck your elbow to your sides when taking pictures to avoid blurness. Ive used gm1 which is relatively smaller but did not experience blurness.

Change the way you hold it, when doing the review for it, there was't any issues despite having big hands. In fact, I found the E-M10 to be better than the E-M5, despite not really being very different visually. Getting an L grip? Possible, if L Grip is what I'm thinking, but you just gotta change the way you hold and turn on the IS

Usually do u have problem holding a compact camera?

I think the grip will help.

Otherwise don't waste time. Change system.

Thanks for all the advice.

I will try to get the L Grip. You can consider my hands are big...no problem with my Canon 7D but maybe the EM10 is just too small for me....

What settings? What lens? These do make a difference

Hi,

I am using the kit lens, 14-42mm. Setting wise i usually use A mode and A to be as big as possible.

Or should I consider a 12-40mm 2.8 Pro?

check your exposure settings. more importantly what iso and shutter speed were used for those blurry shots. the kind of pictures you take also matter e.g. nite/day pictures, moving subject, landscape. kit lens do have it's limitations.

most common problem would be shutter speed to slow. see whether you can compensate with larger iso and other methods (better holding/tripod etc)

upgrading to a faster lens (e.g. 12-40/2.8 or any prime lens) would help but always good to find the cause of the problem 1st, and try to resolve it before upgrading. :)

Agree with Alamak, upgrade, still get blur photo, then you'll kick yourself in the rear for wasting money, some say 12-40 still very heavy hahahah

If you meant you are setting the aperture value to as big a number as possible.. Eg 11 or 16, you need to go the other way and make it as small as possible.. Eg 3.5 or 5.6

Btw how abt posting some sample photos, otherwise how can anyone give good n relevant advice?

any setup guide for this came to share

Any case to recommend? thinking of a case to carry the camera around without a "heavy" camera bag. Thanks!

Hi all,
It's been a long time since I am back to m4/3 again.
Currently having a Panasonic m4a/3 system but actually like the out of camera JPEG colurs
Of Olympus more.

I would like to check with all here whether a EM10 with Panasonic Leica 25mm f1.4 Len
Would be a good combination as I already have the Len. Will the AF be as fast compared to
The recent lens?

Lastly, is there any good promo now for the EM10? Missed out on the 45mm f1.8 deal man!

Thanks in advance!
