Can anyone advise what's the highest ISO that can be set on this camera during movie mode? Can't find the info online :(

Shoot... i just bought it today from TK Photo today as a gift for my girlfriend's birthday.

I should have looked at it a lot more carefully. When she opened it a couple of hours after I bought it, she found a pretty large speck on the EVF, whether the camera is on or off. At first I thought that it was dust or scratch on the outside, but it looks like dust/scratch on the inside of the glass... I don't know what that means since this is an EVF, I wouldn't have expected multiple glass layers in the EVF, in which dust dust can get stuck.

She's happy regardless as it doesn't spoil the photo at all, and when your eye is on the viewfinder you can't see the speck, but I'm disappointed I didn't inspect it as closely as I should have when I bought it. Going to take it to the service centre in the morning, and hope for a resolution. Not really the way I wanted this to go...

hey guys,

needing your advice on this.

i charged my battery on Tuesday but never used the camera until only yesterday. when i took 2 pictures, the battery indicator on the camera flashed orange and it die afterwards. got back home to charge. at first it was solid orange but after a few seconds, it became blinking orange. read in the manual that blinking orange equates to charging error.

anyone of you encountered this before?

Is it original or third party battery?

original.

seems that i found out the reason for the blinking lights. even when my power cord is connected to the charger, i needed to give it a really tight push.

do you guys keep your batteries in the camera while in the dry cabinet?

I keep mine in the dry cabinet. Not for any special reasons but just for the sake of convenience and... I really don't have that many pieces :)

ECG-1 grip is back :)
However when I keyed in the EM-10 voucher discount code, it minus $88 instead of $100...

EDIT: I had call in & was told some of the items was not in the $100 voucher, therefore had to pay full.

i don't think i'll be getting anything from the store.]

The "problem" is that items in the store is selling at retail prices which is more $$$ than street prices.

Anyone has the latest price for body & kit lens?

Should be the same...but no more $100 voucher & additional 2 years warranty. Only with auto lens cap.

just bought this camera but it's my first time playing with such camera.
Am intending to buy a zoom lens for travel/landscape but am unsure how should I 'decipher' the mm readings. Any lens to recommend?

Hi , welcome :) the mm readings read as they are. Meaning if it's 15mm adjusted on your lens, your screen will show 15mm. But as the crop factor of MFT is 2x , in reality u r actually shooting at 30mm.

The 14-42EZ pancake kit is by itself a very decent lens :) I think it should serve general use quite well unless u r looking at the pro level lenses like the 12-40/2.8 , 12-35/2.8 etc. if u r not used to the electronic zoom (I'm not haha) , there are quite a few telephoto zooms but maybe u wana share more on your budget and will u be doing more street ? Wide landscape ? Or simply general traveling?

Thanks for replying keith! :)
I think I'll use the camera more for general traveling and street / portraits! Budget wise... possible for telephoto zooms below 800? or max 1k?

Just curious, does the EM10 have DOF preview? If yes, how do u access it?

There are quite a few zooms in the market.
u can find a list of em on this site: http://hazeghi.org/mft-lenses.html
If warranty isnt an issue, u might want to consider getting a 2nd hand lens from the 2nd hand market.

how to enable hints in the menu for EM-10 i seems to have accidentally disable it
