Actually during the course of comparing EM-5 versus EM-10 I noticed one difference - that is the position of the tripod mount. If I intend to use the camera for landscapes, including panorama making, then I would probably take the EM-10. The tripod mount is in line with centre of lens, compared to off-centre on EM-5 (can be resolved, but requires special plate which is a hassle no matter how you look at it). Something for you guys to consider as well. Me.. I'm going to be using this second camera to take photos of my wife and cats. No panos there. :bsmilie:
Beats me.
Apparently Olympus claims that you shouldn't clean EM-5 sensor yourself because it may do damage to the IBIS system.
Well at least users are claiming that Olympus claims it. I always take anything I read on the Internet with a pinch of salt. Given that the Copperhill kit I use doesn't require a whole ton of force, I don't see any difference between bringing a swab across the sensor and getting a jolt during a car ride. The latter is probably more damaging if the IBIS system is so delicate like a flower. :bsmilie:

A lot more threads on DPReview echoing the same story, with one person saying that Olympus gave him a reply that their techs would "recharge anti-static coat on sensor" whenever they cleaned the camera for customers. With a Harry Potter wand perhaps. :bsmilie:
I wouldn't look at the extended warranty being a overriding important factor when deciding between 2 cameras![]()
actually in 7 years with Oly only once with issue, and it was a stain not a dust. But pretty much all other cameras (Pentax K30, 5d classic is the worst, fuji xpro1, gxr etc) I own / pre-owned, has dust issue haha. i think i should try copperhill someday![]()

Nothing much on the Facebook page leh..
I saw E-M10 at Harvey Norman northpoint. Checked and was told that promotion of 8% + 8% was available for this model, $1056 after discount. Guys buying perhaps can check with ur nearest Harvey Norman for price![]()
Thought the 8%+8% promo was for CNY? Wonder if funan one still have...
I did not see any stock in funan HN when I made my purchase with TK on the 20th Feb.
advise to call them in case the sales person gave me the wrong info.
Standing at Funan HN now , the 8% + 8% is not applicable to the EM10. Only selected cameras.
But haha, If u can wait a bit more, EM10 will be releasing double lens kits very soon. The price is just slightly higher than single kit. They do have 2 silver sets now.
And .. I just got the 25/1.8 at HN Funan at possibly the lowest price in whole of Funan.
