EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS has arrived

Anyone tested this lens with a 350D? I read other forums, saying that there's some focus issue with 350D.

Does this lens has problems with IS? According to photozone.de it certainly says so... Maybe 55-250mm range is really too much to ask for? Or maybe it's the body? Anyone with a 40D has this issue?

I have used it on a 40D and didn't have the focus or IS problems. It is a plastic fantastic. (not very sturdy build) But the IS works great. And it takes very sharp photos. You can see a small write up and a compairson shot. Compaired to my 300mm F4L prime. (A very sharp lens)

Bought my EF-S 18-55mm IS at John 3:16 for $280. But they are now out of stock.

maybe @ 250mm, due to it's slow max aperture of 5.6, the AF doesn't work well. Sometimes cannot focus lock.

OP may still have some, local sets.

Limsgp - I don't think F/5.6 will cause any trouble... the AF module is designed exactly for F/5.6.

Would most likely be inclusive. Best to check with the salesman at the shop.

Other IS lens got this IS function so they can pan perfectly in tandem with IS...
