I reserved from AP in SimLim ,
stock arrived this week, but I think they only have 2-3 sets each shop

thanks, now looking for 3rd party batteries ... original simply too x ...

I already prepared to buy but I need to know the focusing speed and accuracy on omd body. The 20/1.7 disappoints me with low contrast objects. GX1 is better on this front.

I think bro majority of the time the AF is fast enough for me I dunno how fast it is coz I dont have the PL 20mm low light still could focus well just that I have experience the I cant focus when the CDAF cant get enough contrast and it hunts like crazy the situation as I per posted above.

Shooting at wide open f1.4
Shooping flower in the garden with busy background
light/sun coming from behind the flower or infront of you when you shoot the flower
ISO was lowest 200 (EPL2)
Distance from the subject close to MFD
Metering is Matrix or segmented
Focus location is center box
Exposure level is 0. Or Center

What happen is it'll hunt and when focus is lock it focuses not on the subject (this could be i'm too close or beyond the lens MFD, but I move away still the same hunt then focus somewhere else) I did change angle and perpective boom! focus spot on!. Change to another flower/subject now a bit bigger it focus well. Move again to smaller subject same issue. I thought lens problem so I try to shoot my friend about 3 feet away can focus).

So I suspect it's the CDAF unable to get a good contrast

thanks, anyway already charged 8 hours last night. :)

Not sure what type of battery and charge EM5 has but newer charger and battery are chipped so when it reach full charge the charger will stop charging so if shop folks will tell you to charge 8 hours even you put to 1 day as soon as battery reaches its full charge the charger will stop charging. I think this was impose by Japanese gov't as a new standard Fire and Safety I guess. My EPL2 has this type of charger and battery.

If you want to fully burn your battery what you do when you chare it for the 1st time and use it try using it till it dies (battery) before re-charging what will happen is you are eventually erasing the battery memory and to maximize your battery even more once a while you to topping charge. Topping charge is when you fully charge your battery then remove it from the charger and use it maybe for 5-10 mins just power on your cam and maybe take 1 or 3 shots then put it back to ther charger and let it fully charge again. You'll notice your battery performance is much better. We often notice when your battery is new it discharges it a bit faster but after two or three chanrging you'll notice it last longer. :-)

Usually today's chargers won't stop charging, they will start to discharge until the battery reaches 95% and start charging again. At least Sony, Panasonic and Olympus state that in most of their manuals but I haven't seen the OMD user manual yet.

Really? For Lithium Ion or Lithium Polymer batteries? Never heard that before. You have any examples of these manuals?

Really dangerous to stay in a shop. Wait for someone, walked in, test a lens and my bank account lessen with $820 and my bag has a 25/1.4. Really dangerous .....

Haha, ok. It is fate that I can get the 25/1.4 and they let me test. Got stock and some bargaining. Bought the last piece.

The lens is permanently stuck on my OMD.. that's why my 12-50mm still stuck with the blue tape. Still very much a virgin..
