I just played with an OMD with 12-50mm at Courts. It is a typical characteristic of the lens that the zoom ring makes a scratchy noise? The lens felt amazingly cheap.

For mechanical zoom, yes it is rough, not as smooth as lens like 25/1.4 or leica lens.

To me no issue as I only use electric zoom in video.

Downloaded, searched and still can't find the writings about the charger discharging and charging again. Would you point us to the exact PDF download link and page number? In fact, the Nex-5N manual even discourage charging the battery again right after a full charge. I'm very curious where you get that info from.

Usually today's chargers won't stop charging, they will start to discharge until the battery reaches 95% and start charging again. At least Sony, Panasonic and Olympus state that in most of their manuals but I haven't seen the OMD user manual yet...

try this bro indoor night set your cam to either P/S or A mode I think P and S mode is much better then move your cam with PL 25 pointing it to your light then move it to somewhere darker area just do it you'll hear it... it's not that loud as other reported but indoor you could clearly hear it. They said it's not a lens issue it's how the the body meters etc etc....
