Did anyone get many calls from Starhub recently to change their modem? THey cited grounds of "oh its better for you - solves problems on your netspeed etc".
Problem is I don't have any issues with my connection, its fast and good; and I don't want to fix what's not broken, and waste time to arrange a pickup/exchange time.
Anyone face a similar situation? Or is my speed too fast that they want to give me a "hacked-down" modem?
I never heard of any commercial company so pro-change unless it is to their interest (ie somehow the old modem compromises their systems or resources. The only companies who will voluntarily do product recalls relate to real safety reason.
Any similar experiences would be appreciated.
