Hi zoossh,

I have checked out both Horizontal and Vertical series.

I must say they are awesome.

My friend Coral and I hope to be there for a few weeks later this year.

Your information supplied will be of much help to us ....

Though I rather think I will be taking in too much to have time to use my camera ......

I guess you know what the outcome will be :bsmilie:

If I can secure photo's with half the composition of yours, I will be a happy man.

Thank you for sharing

Cheers :)

Triveni Sangam, confluence mud bay where people stand in the water to celebrate Kumbh Mela Festival.

by the way, note that the left facing swastika on the white background of the flag is sacred symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism, as opposed to the specific Nazi swastika which is always right facing black cross in a white circle on red background. The former had no association with the racist attitude towards Jews adopted by the Nazi or the others. It is supposed to signify well being.

at streets near puja guesthouse, varanasi. i particularly like this photo for the onion-like colors with the orange lights and the perspective that shows the undulating steps in the alleys. the wall are naturally "dodged and burned" in its original state, and no post processing is needed to give that effect. anyone can advise what does the indians call those flower rings and what are they meant for or symbolised? in what occasions are they used? are they used in everyday's life?

actually i got a few of the similar types, but i like variety and hence usually just post one from each genre, and do a rotation. binbeto did a chronological order and you can follow his thread too.

streets near dolphin restaurant in varanasi, the little alleys. always filled with a mixture of colors, contrasted with the shadows in the walls of the narrow lane, and the narrow alley also provide an avenue to beat the harsh mid-day light

thanks. asterixsg. i saw your email but it is a bit too long for my brain dead mind to digest after work.... but i've read thru the mala part and briefly glance thru the rest. will share here after digestion. since that pic is popular, i shall post another similar shot, but this one is a close-up that i couldn't catch the best moment. i handheld 20mm at 1/8secs and did my best.

also did that in thailand before, so not so bad.

but i did not (aka avoid) go to the train toilets, and never experience it.

I must admit that you have portrayed India in such a nice perspective. Hats off to you.

perhaps. but i guess if you see me going taiwan and taking photos of all the pretty girls, that probably won't mean there is no ugly girls there. probably i have selected by aesthetic....

perhaps these few days will pick a picture of the taj mahal's backyard to show the reality values. but then it is not going to be that nice as the others.... in terms of aesthetics.....
