Thats cheap.
I calculated with Tenso's pricing before and it came to $400+.

yep, the lens from amazon is ¥21480, tenso shipping is ¥1730. total ¥23210.
is your lens price ¥21480?
in amazon, there are options to purchase from amazon directly, or thru 3rd party seller they represents. Purchasing from amazon directly if they have in stock is cheaper and they offer free shipping (to tenso).

Yup same price.
Guess the price is about there then.
The only unknown factor is the weight then, which I estimated 0.5-1kg, thus the price difference.

Hope your enjoyin the lens, its my 1st prime after getting all the zooms. Excited lol.

I guess there are 2 ways.
Either buy yourself from Amazon and inform them, or tell them to buy for you from Amazon.
Gotta ask chinnian for confirmation.

yep, you register for an account at www.tenso.com first.
then go to amazon and fill in your tenso address at checkout.
by the way, amazon japan has an english version at checkout so it's pretty east to navigate.
tenso will email you when they receive it and will ship it to you after you pay up.

i must say tenso is so much easier to use than vpost.

Slightly smaller compared to the kit lens, very light though.

juz received my 35mm from amazon japan thru tenso this morning. same reliable service as amazon-borderlinx. =)

ordered on monday. received on saturday.

I wanted to get the white one too as a xmas present but don't think have enough time to get here... The lens cap is the older version, looks much nicer than the one from kit lens

Anyway, the filter has become more of a preference thing than about practicality, a $20 filter will degrade the image quality while a $100 filter is 1/3 the price of a lens that has very good protective coating. up to you to decide.

I just placed my order last night through amazon.jp. I think I bought the last red one. Hopefully no issues with my delivery cos they claim threre's a problem with my DBS Debit card, so had to retry another credit card.
After some consideration I finally decided to get a 35mm instead of a 50mm since I like to take photos in restaurants... will show pic if and when it arrives!
