Ah? Forgive me then - the EOS 50D does have a 920k 3" LCD too :bsmilie:

Yeah, but like what you said, it's going to > S$2k... :bsmilie: I still think S$2k is the "psychological barrier" for a mid-range DSLR, with budget DSLR prices sliding down to S$1.5k and less...

US$1.3k translates to S$1.8k thereabout, sounds like a pretty good figure to me.

not so soon i would guess. it'll take about a month or so i reckon. plan to get it next year or end of this year after prices stabilize. =D looks good enough to buy. good upgrade from my D60

Is the Eye-Fi SD card available in SG? I am concern about the speed of data transfer, which is not available in their website.

anyone know how weather resistant is the D90 considering it has a open hole on the body for the microphone.

D80 was never advertised as weather proof, so I don't think D90 will be. But I have been using my D80 in light rain (like during the NDP 08), no problem at all.:)

You are absolutely right, but then again, in this digital era, how many have touched analog film (motion picture) before to understand the proper workflow? :)

Many people's mindset including most video professionals will treat this video feature and compare it to the regular video cameras...but don't forget that Nikon has it days in 8mm cameras as well, so the area of motion picture is not something new to Nikon as well. :)

Anyway, the D-Movie samples are beautiful!!! http://chsvimg.nikon.com/products/imaging/lineup/d90/en/d-movie/

My guess is $1399 for body only and $2199 for the kit set 18-105VR....hope I'm right.

Very exicted about the D-Movie function.....can do macro video recording. ;p

I think with this price range, I won't hesitate to upgrade from my D80 :)

I probably buy this to use as a movie camera with DSLR still function. ;p I'm glad they call it D-Movie mode and not video mode because it behaves more like a movie camera than a video camera.

Yeah, really love the ability to isolate the subject to create that film movie look (the sample movie of the lady walking in front of the green trees shows this quite well) - something you can't do with consumer level video cams with their 1/3" sensors.

Also like the ability to take documentary videos of macro subjects at 1:1 magnification or extreme wide-angles with a fisheye or something.

but this to use as a video camera? at HD max movie recording is 5 mins.
