I believe no 1 has implemented global shutter on a CMOS yet...but who knows when it will happen. Any yah, if you want to imitate film then 24fps and rolling shutter is the norm. But that is for nostalgic feel, may be without all the artifact of rolling shutter might be good.

Is it possible to implement global shutter for CMOS? Anyway, if you want the 24p film look, then you need rolling shutter because a film camera uses a rotating shutter.

It's true! The D90 can offer better image quality than the D300!

Yeah, it looks that way in KR's review. However I suspect D300 requires more sharpening than the D90 inherently so that may explain some of the softness.

I think with $100+ discount on launch is expected, but will come down in a few weeks once the stock is stablised.

As with D300, the ISO100 would probably have a reduced dynamic range.
