Friends

I am also considering the D90. One thing that I read was that for HD movie recording at 720p, there is limitation of 5mins. I would like to check that I can do the another clip (assuming there is storage space) after the 1st 5 min.

Cheers

Can, but your camera will get very hot if you continuously activate live view. Not sure will it hurt the camera in long term though.

has anyone used the wireless remote control ML-L3 for D90?

the ML-L3 works by Infra Red technology, and the receptor for the camera is on the front.

Yes, it works. But only at certain angles. Why?

the ML-L3 works by Infra Red technology, and the receptor for the camera is on the front.

Since it use infra red technology, therefore in technicial term, infra red normally will come into effect when it is aim perpendicular to the receiving end. However some time twisting abit of the angle might work as it still able to accept at least 90% of the infra red into the receiving end.

Hope my 2cent able to help you....;)

The IR remote do support bulb mode. When in bulb mode, hit button once to open shutter, and hit again to close the shutter.

You don't even have to buy the Nikon one. The $5 3rd party ones work just as well.

If you have iPhone, there is even an app you can download to use your iphone as the IR remote.
