Okie...., I am still trying to test and tweak on the sharpness on the camera for the optimum. Will try out what you've mention again, as the last time I tried sharpening in PP, my work was absolutely......disastrous....:embrass::bsmilie::bsmilie:

When you sharpen in PP, use unsharp mask to get more control.

make sure you apply the pixel radius according to size of pic.

If you are doing like a 72dpi 12 inch pic, just use 0.4-0.6 radius and apply accordingly (I usually do 35-100max, average around 45-50). Try not to sharpen too much.

anyone taken pictures of the big orchard flood with their D90? hehe :bsmilie:

do u have a tripod?

i take it as u are taking night shot of landscape... low iso (below 200), high F number (above F8), long shutter speed (about 8sec or more)... all this setting will depend on light condition etc... so play around with it

If you taking landscape shots, make sure you use your tripod.

If you are taking handheld, make sure you set your Auto ISO properly.

And if you are taking people, I suggest you use flash if it is too dark.

Have fun!

Don't necessary have to be 8 secs or more la. Can be more or can be less. Just make sure you expose properly.

Agreed, there is no hard and fast rule for night shots, I've shot some 10 - 20 sec shots recently. You'll probably require a number of tries under different settings until you get it right - particularly for newbies (like me).
