hello guys, I think i have problem with my focus. I got no idea how to check.
You're being very vague here. Care to share what are the problems?![]()
when i press on the shutter button it dosent focus & the box dosen't light in red. Sometimes it focus but most probably it dosen't.
Confirm tt it's in AF and tt you half pressed the shutter button. If it doesn't AF, it may be because your camera is unable to acquire the subject. Had this problem in the past.
Know your minimum focusing distance and ensure tt your subject is not one of a low contrast with the BG. Turn on the AF Assist Illuminator as well.
sorry... but if you explained it properly and more thoroughly, it would be easier to figure out what you're trying to say.ok. ic. tried the method. it seems tat i focus all 9 points on a item with sky blue BG the AF focus on some point & aft half press again it switch AF again. Weird.

Is your subject on the move? As ZCA stated, you have to help us to help you. It took me 2 full minutes to read what you wrote, only to understand a bit. No offence meant

Check out this linkok. sorry about that. Im using a D90 with 18-105mm lens. I suspect my AF is having problem, I got problem in checking weather the AF are working properly. Im using Wide area AF with the subject 1m away(not moving). when I tried half press to focus it sometime show the red focus dot on the subject, sometime not. Another scenario is I use all 11 focus point on the subject it use 2-3 focus point randomly the non-moving subject(1m).
hope you guys understand.![]()

Yeah it's KRW, I know...
If you're using wide area AF, and you half press the shutter release, and the camera locks focus on your intended subject, why do you release and then half press the shutter release again? That might confuse the camera into thinking you wanna focus on something else.
Sorry if I misunderstood your question. The words you choose are a bit confusing.
I believe he's talking about the AF point selection. For D90 it's... 11 points right?i think the AF Assist illuminator is on, tat explains the Red Dot(light) on the subject...
other than this,...i catch no ball abt the problem...
