yeah the tripod that comes with the bundle sucks. I'm gonna grab a sirui tripod soon. taking landscapes with the free nikon tripod is really a pain

Don't throw away your Nikon tripod or give away okay? Still useful for lighter PnS cams! And for flashes or studio lights! ;)

Seraiously ah, my tripod n BALL whr can compare to you guys? I smell no smoke man... But at least the tripod is gd enough for me, my D90 and my humble kit lens

don't worry about all this gear comparison.

I am the first one to admit that my tripod/ballhead combo is serious overkill for what I'm shooting (hobbyist landscape photography)...
But I felt that the price was justifiable for the quality that I could perceive (smoothness of operation, smoothness of metal finish, etc). In the end I was a willing buyer! :) Don't look back! No regrets!

I was reading the thread regarding AF in the first few pages.
Sorry to bring back the topic.

with AF-C, is Single Point have movement tracking? May I know how to test this?

If you wan to test very easy.. Find a toy car or sth that can move.. focus on it and move the toy. It should follow suit.Or you can move your camera after you have focus on sth.. the AF point should move and focus on sth it deems worth it.

Note: If I never recall wrongly. This is how it should behave. I have not use that function for quite a long time so I maybe wrong. Thanks ;)

With old flash, before putting it on your camera's hot shoe, please find out what is the trigger voltage. Some old flash's trigger voltage is very high, and can fry the electronics in your DSLR if you fire it off attached.

lolx.. I wun be putting it onto my D90. My dad will kill me for doing that. His precious stuff with the super old model camera is still around. If you people can recall olden days they had this square camera type. You look in from the top another type you have to reload before each shot.

as daredevil123 suggested, best to find out the trigger voltage first. If unsure, best not to use.

My personal opinion is to forget about this flash. I've been "spoilt" by i-TTL (Nikon's automatic flash power adjustment, for lack of a better description) already.
It reduces the guesswork in flash photography, and let's you concentrate on composition and getting the right moment.
I think some of the cheaper flashes with i-TTL capability are Nissin's Di622 (<$200) and Nikon's SB-400 (<$200). Worth it, in my opinion.
