lolx.. I wun be putting it onto my D90. My dad will kill me for doing that. His precious stuff with the super old model camera is still around. If you people can recall olden days they had this square camera type. You look in from the top another type you have to reload before each shot.

you mean TLRs? like this?

as daredevil123 suggested, best to find out the trigger voltage first. If unsure, best not to use.

My personal opinion is to forget about this flash. I've been "spoilt" by i-TTL (Nikon's automatic flash power adjustment, for lack of a better description) already.
It reduces the guesswork in flash photography, and let's you concentrate on composition and getting the right moment.
I think some of the cheaper flashes with i-TTL capability are Nissin's Di622 (<$200) and Nikon's SB-400 (<$200). Worth it, in my opinion.

agree on this. newer cameras like dSLR's have more sensitive electronics than older (film) SLR's. you wouldn't want to fry your expensive camera by using an older (cheap) flash. :sweatsm:

Bro ZerocoolAstra, have you ever considered the Nikon 10-24? How is it compared to Tokina 11-16mm?

Yes I did.... :) But the price..... was a bit too rich for my taste :)

I own neither of these lenses.
But having seen the output from a Tokina 11-16, I consider it to be really sharp.
The Nikkor is by no means a slouch, but it's pricier, that's all...

anyone knows how big the packaging of the T1004X is? I'm intending to buy it during office hrs and if I carry a big package back, well, it would make it pretty obvious I wasn't only working. haha

It will come in a huge chunky black box to house the tripod bag and everything else in it... I would be worried. Why not bring a huge shoulder bag to conceal it?

Today, I've learnt to set my AE-L/AF-L button to "on" all the time... and "off" when I press it again. Better than trying to hold it down together with the shutter pressed halfway and then hold it down longer to recompose before shooting... If in default mode (need to continuously press down) I'd almost always end up accidentally firing off a shot (what a waste of shutter count! :bsmilie:).

AE-L/AF-L is recommended for landscape shoot when using with a slot-in filter. Some experienced photographer suggests metering the scene first, lock the exposure, before pulling down the filters...

Anyone tried out multiple exposure shoots before? What is the real purpose of this capability / function actually. Any good and useful examples?

Yeah I was there! Trying to shoot the old buildings there (but lousy sky leh) and then went to Clark Quay to shoot sunset - clouds were quite nice there!

Scroll down the Custom Setting Menu to f4: Assign AE-L/AF-L button... set it to AE lock (hold) - done!

You shy har? Next time come say hi lah! Unless you're across the road then no choice lor. :bsmilie: What were you doing there, walking to TK at Funan isit? lol

Not small. The box is around 60cm long... quite chunky.
