Ha i cant find the link on nikon sg webby to reg my warranty online... any idea? sorry for being so noob...

Find the ewarranty "ad" in the middle of the page..

You cant really compare them like this, they are in the first place operating in diff scale.
Theres nothing wrong in cash only dealings, i mean if you dun like you can always go somewhere else.
But the way speaking of the HN extended warranty.
Do you know that the warranty only covers up to the value of your purchase. For example your D90 cost $1700... the max repair cost the warranty will cover is up to $1700.. anything exceed that you have to top up yourself. So for example your camera got into trouble in the 2nd year and the repair cost is $1700... its as good as the end of the warranty. and its stated as non transferable. I take it as the warranty will not follow if the camera is sold to another person. Correct me if im wrong.
Thanks for clarifying, but what i was piss about that shop forgot to inform upfront that the price we are quoting is cash not NETS or CC. I called them 2~3 times but he didn't mention anything about only cash item (but again i was having cash in NETS so i draw money no harm done).
For HN, when i bought my camera what i was told that if camera cannot be repaired they will allow a 1-1 replacement or provide me similar value item (or i can top-up to upgrade item). I will not expect after 3 years if my camera spoil and they ask me to topup 500 value to repair as cost was 2200$ (500$ spare). I didn't see anything thing in their terms and conditions which have any information which make me think i need to pay spare (but again i can be wrong, will read them again). But i feel comfortable getting 4 year extra warranty for fraction of total cost of camera kit (most of the times items don't spoil with in warranty time period, i have bad experience with my on home item purchase which died on me exactly 2 month after warranty was up and that time i never bought any extended warranty). So now i feel more safe buying from big stores than buying from a small shop. But again everyone have their own choice at least if i will ever sell my camera i can tell it is still under warranty (buyer can anytime ask me to help him/her for warranty issue).

Hmmm.... been looking for a D90 body and this situation seems to be the same.
A few kit sets around, but body only offers are thin on the ground... any ideas please?

Look for someone who want to buy an 18-105VR and go buy together.

Right, got mine from Lords. No freebies, but at least I have a camera for my next trip...

there is one place definetly got stock. Go mustafa shopping centre. their price for D90 very competitive too. 1 mth ago i ask the price is $1660 with 8GB card and a camera bag. This price is cheap compare to Tk foto where i bought $1650 with only 4gb card and cleaning kit...

is Mustafa a reliable place to buy camera? I mean, look at the way they store their equipments and most of the time sales person has no idea about cameras!!

Mustafa is selling for $1799 (18-105mm) now, nothing extra, so forget about it, totally bo hua.

Can consider TK Foto, Lord Camera ~$1660, also no freebies.
Or Harvey Norman, got freebies, can get rebate with CITIBANK DIVIDEND card (can apply and get in one day)

Good luck :)

Really meh... raise price so fast... bo pian la... but really nowadays u see people carry nikon DSLR got almost 70% is D90

Yes, i went to ask
They said "in demand, so no freebies"

The demand for D90 here has been great despite the current economic condition. Further more I think our market is small (internationally) hence allocation of sets to Singapore Nikon (from Nikon Japan) is also quite meager compared to let say China or Hong Kong. :(

Good buy must buy best buy. Brought overseas.. walao.. shoot like crazy when the train is moving fast! Powerful..

well somebody did advice me that when i will plan to buy, it might not be available giving the fact that its selling like hot cake. :-) well, the hindsight is always 20-20...must have purchased when there was stock...now no one is even bothering to discuss D90 with you, and forget the e-quotes !!

Just got my D90 from OP a few days ago. Paid $1360 for the body alone. I believe they still have a few set of D90 bodies. Try your luck guys.
