If got problem .... just buy D800E .... so far there is no issue on D800e ...
Hi everyone, want to ask for some advise here.
I am right now using my 24-70 with the D800 and am thinking of getting a ultra/wide angle lens.
Am thinking whether I should get the 16-35 to match this setup or go with a prime.
I tend to like some flexibility which is why I am looking at the 16-35.
Going to Hong Kong next week so might want to get it while i am there.

Hi... need some help from D800 users, who upgraded from D700.. how's the comparison of AF performance, on both speed to lock and accuracy, between the 2? Thanks!

I have a number of primes but they are underutilized compared to my zooms, like 14-24, 24-70 or even the 70-200. I found the advantage of ability to zoom outweighs the advantage of bigger aperture prime lens. I tend to sell off my prime after a while.
I happen to be going to Hk next weekend too. Enjoy your stay there!

So let's see how much is that in hong kong
I also have a 50mm f1.8 which I hardly use too...time to sell off
I just bought the lens in HK last week for around HK$9750. Probably 2% less if you do not use credit cards. So you could buy it for around the equivalent of S$1,550 in cash which is substantial savings from your Harvey Norman price

Thanks ?

Taken with my brand new D800E and not-so-new Nikon AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G to check out its high ISO capability and ability to handle difficult lighting conditions like backlighting.
At last, I have a camera that could take highly useable high ISO images !
