i prefer the colour from the 50mm 1.8 G as well

I love my 50 1.8G for pretty much everything over my old 50 1.4D except one thing. The rounded aperture blades are great for bokeh, but they make terrible sun stars.

You test with your 85mm f1.4 ?
they said affect wide angle lens like 24mm and below

Would you test on CRC lenses like 24, 35 & 28mm all using wide open and close to the object for shoot like taking macro style

Nikon D800 + 50mm f1.4 AFD.

If focus accurately, it's sharp. At 1.4, there is CA. But can be corrected on software. Not an issue.

Just got my D800 from Malacca on Thursday and took some pictures there for testing

Pictures were all taken with Nikon 24-70mm, first pix with B+W ND110. So far quite satisfied with the IQ except that i've to downsize the pictures before uploading to the web.

I think they are fabricating Arab city, its just opposite of the Malacca Straits Mosque. Its still under construction though.,
