You have FX lens right and try switch to crop DX mode or x1.3 for the Raw file definitely is lower.

15mp is good for me too and i do intend to keep my 10-20mm when i get D800 becoz the 77mm filter thread allows me to continue using my GNDs and Big Stopper without additonal cost incurred.

If adding a TC13 still produce acceptable results while giving me 36mp that will be a super super bonus.

Now, I consider your suggestion to use the TC 1.3 as a very great idea. Why I didn't I think of it?
Looks like I'll keep my 17-55mmDX lens.

Can anyone think of better reasons to get rid of it? The only unknown now it it's performance with the TC13 or any other suitable TC.

Distortion on 28mm f1.8G is just minor only to compare the zoom lens on 16-35 or 24-70mm.

Maybe you can refer the 28mm f1.8G previous thread.

Yap, for the f1.8G color is quite balance and no vignetting at all, even used on wide open for the CA is just minor only.
