70-200mm very ex..... not my aim yet..... 70-300mm still can consider... haha..Well, once there is this teacher who recommended 18-200mm... thats why still thinking..

guys for crop bodies.. think sigma and tokina offers the 50-150 and 50-135 F2.8 respectively... why not consider them?.. heard they are good too... its a 70-200 equivalent on FF

There are different schools of thought. I believe the right lens for the right scene. The sigma one is about double the price of the Nikon 70-300mm VR. Save longer for a better glass loh.

Second that! using Sigma 50-150 myself and i feel the IQ is tack sharp @50mm and okok @150. furthermore it is light and focus fast!

I've got this urge to get the nikkor 17-55, but its mad ex. I believe its about $2000+?

Someone please talk me out of it!!! hahaha

I believe the members here only talk ppl into buying and not out of buying it. Hahahahaha

I did thought of the tamron, but I've read around, the AFS on the 17-55 is mad fast, and also alot of positives have been given to the nikkor compared to the tamron. Read already very gian!!

Well it's the only f2.8 UWA but can consider others too like the sigma 10-20

It took me a long while to understand y I need a 70-200mm F/2.8. But still can't put my money into getting one.

I had the weight issue too, but after handling birding lens for a while, 70-200mm seems puny :p

Hahaz.. For the subject isolation + bokehlicious effect?

But it's 4 times the price of a 70-300 =_=!
