anyone else has the problem of not being able to autofocus in liveview mode? done some google and apparently its some incompatability issues with tamron and nikon d7k..zzz. Wonder if i should approach tamron or approach nikon for the quote on the problem. Currently on a tamron 17-50 non vc.

Were having the same setup and mine is focusing on live view and not having this issue..

No problems with my Tammy VC though.. u try focusing with live view in daytime.. Or towards some super bright object at nite.

yep tried it both already. sighs. wad settings u guys put to before going into live view? i use af-f and af-c

DO you guys use the ViewNX 2 provided to edit the .MOV files??? i need a good program to join the movie files together... few program i tried like Quicktime pro and Ultra joiner the audio is not sync to the video..

We were talking about tamron 17-50mm non-vc. I tried all focusing mode, doesn't help.

Occasionally, it doesn't af during normal operation too. But this can be solved easily by just twisting the zoom ring "beyond" 17mm and 50mm with slight strength. I believed this has to be an issue with the contacts.

yepp been confirmed. jus got a 55-200 nikon, and it AFs smoothly without a hitch on liveview. prolly gonna bring down to tamron sometime. dun tink nsc will chup abt 3rd party lens. zzz. hope i dun have to pay much man.
