there's no need for one ;) you'll be surprised by how well the D7000's battery works

Yeah I agree on that...I took a few 5min+ videos, took about 350+ shots and my battery was still slightly more than half full!! :D

On a side note, I got my D7000 last december :)

So, besides the built and battery compartment, there is still no advantage of the MD-11 over MD-80? I'm not talking about compatibility here.

It's magnesium alloy based and supposed to be weather-sealed. I guess that gives reason for nikon to charge higher.

i'm not gonna buy a grip just so that i won't get killed by the rain. if the rain comes and i risk getting it soaked, i take the grip off ^^

i walked in the rain with mine a few days ago and it didn't spoil, so it's quite okay. but the lens is quite dangerous. water can seep through the mount

Small drizzle i just use hand cover the camera but still continue taking shot.. As it starts to get bigger, no matter wat just go shelter 1st. lolx.

Hi guys. Lost my rubber cover below the camera. Any idea how much it cost?

hey guys, just checking... hmmm i just simply asked the body price in two shops in chinatown, incld the gst they were at $1800 smt
and then i back to malaysia and the price was just rm3500 at average, which at about $1400+, thats big different
i asked the shop that does where the camera made in an issue (i assume perhaps singapores' made in japan)?
he told me that even singapores' are made in thailand
so.... can you guys tell me about this issue?

well, i bought it in malaysia... :p

and i came across this page, http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/D7000/D7000IMAGING.HTM

i m interested for the setting for Extremes: Sunlit and low light tests & Contrast that stated
but i dont know where can i find this Sunlit setting... or contrast...
isnt it Saturation and Contrast in Picture Control?
can i use this as general? or i can just using Vivid..?

well, basically i wonder is there any general setting for auto focus, color profile and sharpening?
i read somewhere that saying there is no AF-C in D7000, but i saw there is, any mistake i have made?
i am quite confused to this auto focus system though, much different with D80

another question, do you guys think the iphone app Quick Pro D7000 worth the money? it is US30....

thanks :)

hmmm another thing is D-lighting... seemingly the higher the value is
the better outcome is, can i say set to High all the time?

well sadly Singapore's Nikon DSLRs are made in Thailand. Even the lens, lens cover, lens cap and body cover are all made in Thailand

if i didn't remember wrongly, D lighting turns the background clearer (in a landscape photo), but it also does something to the foreground which i don't really like. can't remember but there's a good example on the D60 model. too bad i sold mine though XD and do bear in mind that turning D-lighting on means more time required to process the image
