how much is it now? o.o

Newbie here. I went Funan to source around yesterday as I'm planning to get D7000 with kit lens (for the time being) by this weekend. Here are some quotes I received.

TK foto - $1,869 cash with freebies*
John 3:16 - $1,890 cash with freebies*
Alan Photo - $1,890 cash with freebies*, free AF50mm lens collect on the spot
Challenger - $2,099 cash/nets/card with freebies
e-quote from MS Color - $1,899 with freebies*
SLR Revolution - $1,852 cash with freebies*

* standard freebies (most no travel bag, not that it matters anyway) as per the Great Nikon Sale - http://sg.nikon-asia.com/pagearticle.php?view=full&pageid=260-668be00262

Going back later today to get from SLR Revolution. They also quote me $36 IIRC for the Hoya HMC 67mm UV filter.
Getting excited already :D

It's normal, Malaysian price is even cheaper

Yep, it's normal for DSLR to drop at that rate. Only where dropping by hundreds then it's the sign of it's eol.
Such as d3000, only $399 -_-". cheaper than a lot of compact!

Just got mine from SLRR for 1852! :) new owner of a d7000 now :) nikon provides a 50mm f1.8/D with it, seems like a good deal as it's only 300 up from the d90 after adding in the lens cost.

Anybody knows what is the price of D7000 body only in HK and where to get it?

Damn, just noticed 2 black spots on my photos after a fireworks shoot yesterday and a tiny black spot when i look through the view finder. Attempted a , mirror lock-up and blower-blowing action but that didn't remedy the problem. Looks like i have to bring it down for a cleaning. Any idea how much a cleaning would cost ?

At NSC, it cost $27+ inclusive of GST

Ooo, will probably bring my camera down and hopefully my Charms could grant me the same FOC privilege you enjoyed. Heh, I just realized the black spot in the view finder was due to oil lodged on the view finding itself ! Haha a simple wet cloth fixed that. Feel pretty dimwitted now. Heh

Hi! Just bought the D7000 kit today from TK. It's great except I noticed it has a shutter count of 53 already although the salesguy brought out a "brand-new" set. Should I be annoyed by this? :(

I believe is normal as the camera is tested by QA before it is ship out...
