One thing I a bit dislike is the numbering. But of course, Nikon should has the consideration. More model will be coming out.

D90 --> D7000 (why so many "0"?)

Look at existing line up:

D3100
D5000
D7000 / D90
D300S
D700
D3S

hmmm..... we are missing 2 digit model and D500 here...... :lovegrin:
Don't know why Nikon like 3, 5, 7 so much. .....

they use odd numbers, no even numbers except their flashes.:dunno:

550D is not even the same class with D90 lol:nono::bsmilie:

D5000 is nikon's answer to 500D class.

D300s is competing against the likes of 7D.

D7000 has been upped by Nikon to compete with the likes of Canon 50D. Somehow, Canon downgraded their 60D to plastic body... :dunno:

The models are much more aligned now.

the next molestation session will be really interesting with lots of new toys

looks like Nikon only releases a model to compete with its rival instead of replacing its own old product

If D7000 is comparable with 7D, how does the D300s replacement look like ?

Hard to imagine.

:think::devil:

That's what im thinking/waiting for :)

agree. that's why I switched from C Camp to Nikon! :thumbsup:

Oh gosh...time to sell my canon 15-85 liao :bsmilie:

bye bye canon! Hellooo nikon! :D

Wow! It seems like many will make the jump! :) If Nikon keeps on using the same strategy and Canon doesn't wake up from the idea, soon Nikon going to have most of the DSLR market share! Till that time, Nikon can use the profits to further revamp their PnS products and mirrorless system. But that will be long. Let's look at D7000 first.

Have you guys hovered to the other camp? It seems a few are still trying to justify 60D over D7000... But 'nuff said, I see a clear winner when I see one... Heck nevermind jumping ship... I've only gotten my D90 (a clear winner in its hey days) 4 months back and I'm already sweating buckets whether to jump model or not! :sweat:

Funny, they said the exact same thing about Nikon when Canon had the "upper hand". Who cares? They are all making money, else would have gone out of business. The camera pie is only a tip of the iceberg for both of them.

True true... and then some Pentax users will come out and have their last laugh saying "You guys are just helping them pay for their advertising fees!".... :bsmilie:

oh goshh! i was waiting for d90's replacement to be out so the price will drop and i can get d90 but now d7000 tempted me with it's blown away specs!

how how??!!! :dunno: :dunno:

That's a really Pain-in-the-big-bottom dilemma you've got there.... :bsmilie: Work harder and save more... you have about 2 months more before it reaches here!
