The D7000 features totally surpass the D300s except the frame rate, I wonder who will buy the D300s. The price also cheaper than D300s. Nikon do it all right again, kudos Nikon.

that's what I like about nikon. They are putting great technology even on the intermediate / semi pro level DSLR. See what Cano* doing ? 60D (go read up about the 50D, 60D and 7D issues, maybe going to kill their own market). Off topic, don't want to start another flame war. Let's stick to the discussion.

Seems like the ISO quite good man...even Chase Jarvis says its on par with D700 wow. Some more it's comparable to D3 model..cannot believe :bigeyes:

ISO performance of D7000

IF that is true, makes you wonder what is installed for the FF cameras?

I think nikon gets sensors from sony and that is why their releases are tied together. Sony upgrades APS-C sensors, nikon also.

I think next year Feb they will both introduce FF replacements together.

It's selling at USD1499 with 18-55 VR kit lens according to dpreview.com
But according to Nikon Singapore, it will come with 18-105mm VR kit lens, I think the price will be around SGD2200. So expensive!

D90 launch price RRP is $1999, so not much difference but you get magnesium body, and everything else new.

16 Megapixies worth...should be new sensor. Some of us are contemplating whether D300s replacement will have FF sensors eventually...

It uses the new 16.2mp sony sensor as in A55/A580 as well as Pentax upcoming K5.

The D400 or whatever name they call it should be sharing the same 18mp sensor as A750...

Wah. Sounds like a fantastic news. FF ISO performance on DX body? haha I would love that.

But then DX lens still can be used on 16 Mpixels camera?

I am sure this will be the hot seller for this year. I can sense that a queue is already forming up outside the camera shops already.

My favourite shop already complaining they receiving tons of phone calls asking for D7000 availability, as if it is a Nikon hotline...:bsmilie:

Why not? 550D also use the same kit lens though it's 18mp.

But i am sure if you want to squeeze out the best resolution out from these high MP sensors, a good glass is definitely needed.

Unfortunately it's not using EN-EL3e but EN15 which is a new Li-on battery from Nikon.
The specifications are really, really promising.

Compare D7000 with 60D......

oh no, another battery means another charger

but the new battery life is great

New technology means greater power needed, thats why for the bigger and better batteries, even the battery pack have changed no more MB-D80

Looks like it's time for me to upgrade from D5K to D7K. :)

I think will only arrive in Singapore in Nov-Dec la...have to be patient. Load your bullets first :bsmilie:

I am still waiting for an affordable full frame though.............

looks no bad D7000!

how about manual lens support(yes or no) and shooting bank( 1 or 4), body(plastic or metal)?
