Checked Nikon Sg's website and no indication when it will be launched.

With US exchange rate at record low, maybe can mail order from the US via vPost.

Never ever use Vpost if your order contains batteries. They will not ship and you have to give them an undertaking they can open up the parcel to remove the batteries. No one would be attending to your case and their staff will pretend to know nothing and ask you to repeat the tracking number many times. The whole ding-dong can take up to more than a month. Their warehouse at USA will also game you by refusing to verifying the parcel is in their custody while you sort out the mess. By then it would be stolen or lost and Vpost will throw the problem back at you and ask you to contact your seller for refund. Vpost is only good for ladies stuff or magazines.

anything above $400sgd must pay GST...anyway who would risk a few k worth of good...must be stupid...but anyway i successfully ordered and received kodak playsport ZX3 via Amazon-Vpost all in(include handling and delivery) about $190sgd...there's a original battery in it...no problem...better than locally available vado, flip,samsung bloggie etc...no regrets....

hey guys, just wonder if u guys will take just the body itself or the package with kit lens...
i was thinking of getting D700 initially b4 D7000 was officially announced but then decided to step back n get this DX body 1st while waiting for the D700 replacement.
So i actually plan to get 1 or 2 decent lens for this D7000 later rather than DX lens.
Any comment?

Not only that, all camera bodies bought from overseas do not have local Nikon Singapore warranty, except local warranty from country of origin. In this case, the D7k after all the hassle of buying online and shipping to Singapore from US will not have a valid warranty here.

nikkor 24-70 f2.8
nikkor 70-200 f2.8 vr2

those are some of the best zoom fx lens to suit variety of ur shooting styles which can well-prepare u for a fx switch later. pls note that they are quite heavy though.

and also check out the latest release fx prime like nikkor 85 f1.4g and the coming soon 35 f1.4g if u prefer light weight and dun mind changing lens.

If it is an f mount in the first place, I don't see why it would not.

just like there are Nikon DX lenses, similarly, sigma also makes DC lenses - the equivalent of DX
the ones without DC can be mounted on FF cams?

150-500mm F5-6.3 APO DG OS HSM >> this one does not say "DC"

Of course, you can mount. I think the D7000's mount should be strong enough for it. But you always tripod it on the lens, right? From the balance point of view, the D7000 is heavier than D90 but lighter than D300s. I think it should be alright. If you put the vertical grip on, should not be an issue.

There is one concern about the D7K is the new battery.... probably this will be the start for all new nikon body to be using the new batteries...
