That's it... Harvey Norman here I come! 12 months or 24 months

Congrates - we have managed to poison you....;)

You should explore those credit cards that allow installments of any purchase and buy from the usual stores, pay the 2% for using credit card. Cheaper I think.

Wondering how the D700 works with the 70-200mm
Noise is minimal, image is sharp with VR, and the colour is vibrant, the LCD on the D700 is slight more contrasty than the image itself

Hmmm....corner darkening not that evident in these shots.

Did you set vignet control to maximum?

Bought!

Paid list price @ Harvey :( $4499 (nett all in le)... after some calculation, I think price is ok. If I were to buy at popular shop @ $4300 cash price, no instalment, no credit card.

If pay by Credit Card, +3% = $4429
Instalment merchant get charged 2% more = $4,515

one advice for those sitting on the fence still....

BUY! BUY! BUY! :bsmilie:

time to update my signature :P

the convenience in user interface will save you time

the 2 seconds that you save every-time to use the SB800 will add up
by now nikon owes me at least 13 minutes of my life

I can vouch for that.....plus there is still life on the battery........just did over a thousand shots and the battery life is still on the plus sign for ONE battery.

I still think EN-EL4a battery still command a longer life......tried on the D3 and it went all the way to about 1,500 shots and still half of the battery left.....

Just thinking very hard on whether to change it to EN-EL4a which is 2500mAh....compared to EN-EL3e 1500mAh X 2 which gives you only 5fps compared to EN-EL4a which can go up to 8fps....but it will cost $$$$$$

It can, although not as clean. Just that it is DX format. :) see this thread http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=398273&page=4 and also lookout for the images by Lunas on the night museum performace

Much better than the D2x
