Lemme guess, you took 600+ shots in about 6-7 hours? That makes up to about 1.5 pics/min? You kena tekan or what? :bsmilie: Oh yeah, for one who flew in hellys and took George Bush... this must be peanuts!

Wah.. yesterday I really sweating.. When down to my last 4 batteries, for my SB-400, had to use on-camera flash (and amazingly, my D40 battery level barely dropped) to save the SB-400 for the spectacular shots... :sweat:

From now on I think I'll digg out my old car battery (on the other thread someone said t was motorcycle battery and not car battery *grin* http://forum.clubsnap.com/showthread.php?t=265117&highlight=chanjyj&page=6) and attach to my waist press photographer style again.

Well, on Fri, I took almost 700 shots with my D40 + 18-200VR, all with VR on. Shot the first 500 or so with VR on Active (shooting cars in a wedding convoy).

Shot the final 200+ over 3 hrs at nite during the wedding dinner, SB-800, with 5 Energizer Lithium. Shot a couple of 3 shot burst with flash as well.

Cam batt stayed at full. Flash batt was ard 90% aft i got home and checked.

Possibly due to prescence of SB800's zoom head. How strong was the sambient light?

Still looking forward for a 18-200 so can take some paparazzi shots at weddings. Wanna take photos of peoples expression without them posing for the camera. But wad do you guys think of the 18-70? Was thinking of getting the 18-70(2nd hand) for the mean time till i get the 18-200(or when the price drop par 1K)

I have the 18-70, extra zoom range about 20mm in film numbers does not translate to alot. I still take out my 55-200mm VR for zoom ins. 18-70 is mnore for "whole stage" then prize giving half body. don't hope to get face and shoulders only unless you are only a few metres away.
