Oh.. 7 million sound good...
thank for the advice...!!!!

Hahaha! $50 is quite a big amount for a strap. Must be the best out there! Is it comfortable?

i'm also using a crumpler. and i dun face problem with the hairy cloth. btw bag is 6 mths old. camera and gears have been going in and out... previously using a lowerpro and i miss the weather cover.

does that mean crumpler bag is not rain or weather proof?? :dunno:

why no one consider getting a crumpler bagpack for camera...

Different bags for different occasion, Sling bag for quick access to equipment, backpack for comfort and long walking trips, waist or belt system for speed and mobility as in event or dinner shoot ;)

haven;t had any wet weather experience with my crumpler. but my provious lowepro bag has got a weather cover hidden in the underside compartment of the bag.

i prefer the accessibilty of a sling bag
but the weight hanging on a single shoulder i find it tough to manage

wow that's steep for a strap...anyone has any other recommendations for straps?

Hi, any recommendations for me? Coz I'm torn in between, don't want a too big bag too. I currently have the setup of a Nikon D40x, 50mm f1.8, kit lens and I intend to add a 55-200mm too.

Should I get a 6m or 7m Crumpler? Thanks!

6 and 7 are too big for your setup.

My setup is D300 + Grip, 16-85, 50 F1.4 and 70-300 VR + SB600.. all can fit into 6 mil.

Thanks! So I guess a 5m should be good enough

Hi, has you actually gone down to the shop and try the different millions size out?

I have chosen 7 million for the following reason (now waiting for MO):-

1. Just slight diff from 6M by $10
2. It's the biggest sling bag that I can manage, even if it's empty, it's not too big for me to carry around I hope.
3. Actually like brazilian M design with all the extra extra, but that's too much.
4. I could put in other stuff, if the camera cannot fill it up. If too tight fit, then any additional will need extra baggage.

So, unless you r thinking to change later, I think to have something that's bigger enough and just nice to manage like a normal bag. After all, choosing a Crumpler is that it's fashionable to be causally carried around even with or w/o filled with camera stuff. Unlike a camera bag like lowepro, telling people straight that "Hey, I'm equipped with camera."

Just my personal view for your reference only.
Cheers!

Yar, haven't been down to take a look, which I should, will be going down soon. Thanks for the advise!

my setup:
eos 400d with grip
tamrom 17-50f2.8 with hood
canon 70-200f4IS with hood
ef 50f1.8
430ex speedlite

choice: 6 million or 7 million?
pls advice, bros and sis

eh the waiste pouch is like a normal pouch lor. but just nice the main compartment can hold my camera + a 17-50 barrel mounted. (i think it can fit a EF-s 10-22 too) so i went to daiso, bought a $2 soft case, those that looks like laptop bag. den cut it up and lined the btm of the pouch. (the rest is quite cushioned by other parts of the pouch.) asked a seamstress to sew it on. cost a few bucks.

den folded the rest of the softcase into a rectangle to support the lens. as the camera is lying side ways. den in side still got space can put a lens pen or a blower.

den the pouch sides got those elastic areas can put water bottle. i plan to line them up with cushion so i can keep lens/flash there. (when i buy more lens) or if i lazy, might juz get those lowepro, single lens pouch den sew it on.

got many small pockets infront to keep other stuff like grey card, memory card etc.

but this setup not meant to be punished la, its for my own convenience to fit everything in a small bag. gotta take care not to bump it hard. why i wanted this is most other bags, are big! like the lowepro stealth reporter D100. i dont want to bbring another big bag to my backpack trip.

paiseh no picture right now. next time got liao will post.

Pls get the 7 million... The size of the 6M and 7M differ a lot in comparison to the pricing. 6M is small IMO. I just gotten my 7M and it was not as big as I thought it to be.

I just gotten from my 7M from TK. I want black but from what I notice, the material and hairy lining for crumpler trap radiation heat. Unlike lowepro, the lining are smooth and silky. The inserts are the same, it also lined up the whole bag. making it heat resistance even though the bag colour is black. Therefore I choose a lighter colour. IMHO.

I just shift the camera "pouch" to one side, the other side I put my barang barang.

MIDDLE: 40D (BG + 17-85 w/Hood), shutter release cable in the little flap
LEFT: 50, 10-22, LowePro memory card case,
RIGHT: 70-200, 430EX in its pouch
MESH TOP: 4 x Reflectors (DIY BetterBounceCard.com), Blower, Thirsty Hippo :D
FRONT: Lint-Free cloth, battery cartridge for the BG, battery pouch
