Cannot be D50s because the sensor MP count is different.KennethLin said:might be a D50s? Hard to say ya.. but its seen that D50 come out for quite some time already..:dunno:
Compare detail levels also.. Canon is known to smooth all the fine details out very nicely.nightpiper said:u haven't seen the sony video cams yet? they r around... but so far only sony has it first.
as for lower high ISO noise on the CMOS, at the point of this writing, only Canon can pull it off. i haven't seen other makes using CMOS, big or small, has lower noise at high ISO than the Canon.
You are right. In general, CCD is actually better for converting light into electricity and in general, less noisy than most CMOS. However, Canon invested a lot of $$$ to make their CMOS especially good and less noisy. They were also the first as they were the late comers, having no major investment in CCD, while other like Sony were already on CCD and switching to CMOS would cost $$$ (that is why D2X/D2Xs are using CMOS).nightpiper said:u haven't seen the sony video cams yet? they r around... but so far only sony has it first.

 Hmmm good way to give the surplus... :bsmilie:yyD70S said:19 days from today... (9th August !!!)
Would our govt be giving all citizens this in its goodie bag :dunno:
This is because the noise reduction circuit built onto the sensor already did the 1st round of noise removal. Whether this is prefered depends on the scenarios of use.lsisaxon said:Compare detail levels also.. Canon is known to smooth all the fine details out very nicely.
