To me GF1 is good enough for kids and family photos, that's what I take mostly nowadays. The only thing I like on G3 over GF1 is the EVF, but I still prefer the size and look of GF1, and it seems to be better built too.

I was one of them who got the GF1 when it was first avail in sgp as well.yes i was too crazy over it but eventually sold it after using for a year when nex5 came out.
Imo, build quality is similar for both GF1 and G3. Size wise, G3 is like a GF1 with a EVF on top, which is good for outdoors when LCD can be hard to use. In fact many has named G3 to be the real successor of GF1, with improvements on all fronts of stills and videos while not actually larger or heavier.
i am also waiting for this, look really good.

Anyone uses Canon EOS to M4/3 adaptor on G3, or Nikon to M4/3 adaptor, or Leica to M4/3 adaptor. Is it easy to do manual focus......how is result? Can aperture settings be changed?
Cannot resist the poison.
Just got a G3 yesterday.

Initial impression from its handling and physical aspects is that this is the actual successor to GF1 rather than the "dumb and dumber" GF2, GF3.
Will post more once I have time to run it through its paces.
great, enjoy your new toy.
Bro, congrats and I hope I am not the one who spread the poison to you.
Use it and you will know the G3 is a gem undiscovered by many as they are overly smitten by the gorgeous looks of EP3 while not noticing this dark horse G3 is performing at APSC sensor level.
I tried pairing it with my favourite Panny 14-45mm and now this pair works like a charm for me. Great versatility, great AF speed, great sharpness and great ISO performance even up till ISO3200. Truthfully, for the past 3 years, I have not enjoyed using a camera with such great functionality and Image quality yet (at this pricepoint)...
Oh yeah, 1 question.
What screen protector do you guys put on the rear LCD, and where to get one?
Its a touch screen, so I don't suppose the normal ones would work?
Thx
