If you don't mind manual focus, get the voigtlander nokton 25f0.95. As sharp as the 4/3 panny leica summilux 25mm
45mm leica macro m43
That's a 'must have' lens. Any 40f1.0 or 1.2?
A good read about the GH2's Extra TeleConv feature: http://www.luminous-landscape.com/reviews/cameras/panasonic_gh2_11_mode_revealed.shtml
I don't have a GH2 or G2 but i am sure impressed by this ETC thing, and had tried it in the store.. But this article only talks about ETC in video mode. What about in still picture mode? I understand that the max ETC can do is 2X in picture mode.. but that is provided you switch the picture size down to S.. Is there a way of calculation on the X factor vs the size of picture? meaning for example, if I switch the size to M 4:3, what is the X factor of the ETC? How can we calculate this?
Anyone manage to find Gh2 extra battery yet? Gosh, I'm trying desperately to buy one for a shoot. Been calling the shops like parisilk, cathay photo etc weekly but still negative
Cathay Photo has them in stock already.
If AP is willing to sell you a GH2 with twin lenses for $1,150, you better grab 10 sets before they change their mind. I didn't even know GH2 comes with twin lens kits. What is the reasonable price to get the twin lens?
I asked AP this afternoon, they quoted S$1,150.
There is the Panasonic Leica 25mm f1.4. Its a 4/3rds lens though, which means you need a 4/3 to m4/3 adaptor. It is also quite $$$. If you can wait, Panasonic will be coming out with a 25mm f1.4 for m4/3.
From Olympus, there is the 17mm f2.8 (m4/3) and 50mm F2 (4/3).
Of course, if you are willing to use manual (non-autofocus) lenses with an adapter, there are a lot of choices out there.
Well, Voitglander Noktons are poor-man's Leicas and great value for money manual lenses which could be used on the m43 bodies.any recommendation of good manual lens for micro 4/3 camera???
bro remember to go panasonic to get your free 16g + tripod + travel kit...
Does anyone knows if the free gifts are still available if you purchase the GH2 before CNY??;p
CNY promo free gift is = no free gift... bcos the 8gb is suppose to be standard gift.. xmas promo is add-on another 16gb+assy.. but too late that's over.. i am one of them that missed the xmas promo... unless you can manage to ask the shop to give you a back-dated invoice and then you rush to claim before end Jan... but then again, those who are willing to back-date the invoice might sell the GH2 at a higher price..
