DA35 will be here tmr along w/ K5, but 18135 will only be available until next month.

I'm sure it will be available in the shops shortly but I'm almost certain it won't likely be at the same price as on the website as the shops have the discretion to price it to make a profit. Tomorrow is collection day for those who pre-ordered and I'm thankful to Emjay for working overtime to ensure we got cameras to use for the Saturday outing. So if you're a smart shopper, better pre-order now or else ...

Ok, I think I'm getting a little confused, cos I always thought that prices in the shops tend to be lower. Am I right to say that the pre-order price is at a level that is unlikely to be matched by the shops?

As there are people here wanting to how much such-and-such camera or lens is going for, the bottom line is those who pre-ordered have specifically been instructed NOT to divulge any prices to anyone else. There are very valid reasons for this, and I am not going to explain this here. It is also not prudent to give or hint at any indicative price or price range due to market sensitivities. Suffice to say the deal for those who pre-order is a little sweeter than what one might probably have to pay from the retail shops once they have the items in stock. The shops have the discretion to price the items at what they feel comfortable with, factoring their own operating costs and margin for profit. So to those sitting on the fence or not sure, if you are a savvy shopper, you should know what to do... don't have to spell it out to you in big letters... pre-order now!

Can FW or anyone reveal roughly how much is the K5 with 18-135mm? Very interested to get but scare $$ not enough..
The DA 18-135mm will only arrive later, so there is no firm price on it yet...
