204 replies over 4 years and no administrators or moderators gives a hoot.

All of us (Admin and Mods) are doing our part for Clubsnap on a volunteer basis and we have our day job and personal life to juggle. To take on this type of project, need time and effort to coordinate and oversee the whole process from design, liaising with vendors, coordinating the collection of money and then collection by members, logistics and inventory which is not easy.

Excuse me but don't think you can just treat this like you own this forum.
Have a basic courtesy to at least send a PM to the owner of this forum to seek for permission to use the Clubsnap logo and also this platform to sell the T-shirt.
How will you feel like someone just come to your house and literally make themselves like the owner of the house.

I really appreciate the idea of having a Clubsnap T-Shirt as this is a growing community and good for members to know more fellow photographers.

I have brought this matter up the Admin and Mod team to discuss. Hope that it can yield some results but no promise.

We had done t-shirts printing many years ago, and we can tell you that it really takes a lot of time and efforts to organise one. Not only do we need to get the t-shirts designed and printed, but also spend time to get the sizes right, collect money and distribute the printed t-shirts. What make things worse is there are bound to be people who ordered and then "fly aeroplane" the last minute, leaving us with unclaimed stocks which nobody will pay for.

Anyway, as Francis247 mentioned, the mod team had brought this up for discussion with the admins again. Hopefully we can get something out for you.

i rephrase. this one is not a mod in charge thing. wad i meant was to take some load off ur shoulders and let us design, and do the stuff. rather than admins and mods doing everything regarding this affair, why not let some enthusiastic members take charge? as far as i can tell, u guys are busy enough to er not take on even more projects as it is.. as for logo and permission we will ask from respective ppl permission. i have no intentionj to question the authority of the admins and mods. i believe u have misinterpreted my message

If clubsnap logo were be printed on the Tees, yes, need approval from CS owner.

If using clubsnap as a platform, yes, it is better to seek consent from CS admin.

If I misintepreted your message, I apologize for that, but if 2 person are getting the same message intent (see uncle catchlights response from above) then you should better think twice before you shoot.

Of course, we appreciate if members can take the initiative to promote Clubsnap. We are more than happy to see a feeling of belonging among members. But it will be good to ask permission before going ahead. Not "hoot" first then think later. This is just a basic courtesy and respect to the owner of this forum. Not do everything already then report later.

Anyway, this matter is now in discussion among the mod team. Maybe there will be some form of design control and style guide to follow.

Back to topic, so for now, we need the green light from the CS owner and admin to continue with the clubsnap tees project? I think white polo tees are better as they dont "trap" heat in terms of science. Something like this, correct me if i'm wrong.

White reflects heat while black absorbs though i think black would look better. If not, something of a darker shade. Won't white get dirty easily?

I'd agree on this one. Our Pentax forum had a few rounds of t-shirt mass order (thanks to our member Lawrence aka nik34), it really took great effort to get the order in and shirts distributed. Until now there are still some t-shirts left uncollected, that's after nearly 2 months. And worse yet, most left over t-shirts have forum member's nick names on them, we can't just sell them to other members ...

hmm. did u collect money first before ordering? so far all the teeshirt designing in school we make sure is collect money first then we order. at the worse case scenario cannot make it can still refund the money and no problems with left overs.

Yup.Our Pentax tees costs $27 and Lawrence will collect a deposit of $10 and the balance $17 is to be paid when collecting the shirts

From my memory, there are previously 2rounds of CS Tee-Shirts. I personally own 5polos, 2 from the 1st round and 3 from the second round.

Why not check with the admin Team, PM them... if they would like to do this Mass order of the polo tees again.

hmm. cant we collect full payment? since we only be having the direct cost of making tees and not profits. aka everything is at cost price.

ok design, are we going to be using WTD as our front? if yes gotta ask the author. i find wtd quite an impt part of CS seeing our front page daily has one comic from it.

next, where am i supposed to ask for permission to use the CS logo?

We are reviving the ClubSNAP T-Shirt Mass Order and are already in the process of getting quotations.

We have noted the suggestions in this thread (and the others) and will announce to the members when the t-shirts are ready to be ordered.
