I saw a picture of a comparison between a E-P3 + VF-2 and the E-M5. The E-M5 is a little bit shorter.

Exciting time for us m43 owners.

Super Exciting time, I have been surfing CS and those preview site since this morning, boss is going to kill me if he knows I am surfing more than working, haha. Anyway, for me, I have been holding on to my EPL1 waiting for something like this and now it is finally here, super exciting...

Now just wait for the retail price in SG..

now i have totally forgotten about Fujifilm X100...

this cam is now on my watchlist!

I will most probably buy the body then pair it with my Yashica ML 50mm f1.4 (C/Y mount) with adaptor! WOOT!

I have the EPL1... I think i deserved an upgrade. But wait, need CO to approve the budget 1st.

Never own a Olympus camera before BUT this one really rocks...Cool i Like..;p

I am thinking of adding this to my 5N but dedicate it to AF use with 20f1.7, 45f1.8 and possibly the coming 75f1,8. I may try my ais 50f1.2 or CV 58f1.4 on it. When the Panosonic f2.8 zooms are out, then I may think of keeping 2 EM5 bodies, one silver and one black.

This is very good news! Now just waiting for a fast prime UWA lense, lol.

Current models like EP3, GX1 have very fast AF for stills, but still not quite there yet in terms of C-AF/Al Servo mode vs DSLR. Wonder if the EM-5 3D AF tracking will work really as well as advertised (e.g. can focus reliably and fast on objects moving toward and away from you, the so called Z-axis) for sports and kids.

Already called my favourite store to chop one piece already. :D

Body only or with the 12-60 kit lens? The US oly website taking pre-orders for body only at US$999.

How about the 12/2?

The 12mm f/2 (24mm in 35mm-equivalent) is wide but not ultra-wide. The latter refers to really wide (and really expensive) primes like the Canon 14mm f/2.8L and Nikkor AF 14mm f/2.8 ED.

I am sure many landscape shooters are still waiting for the m4/3 equivalent to the venerable Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8G. The Panasonic 7-14mm f/4 is sharp, but not quite fast enough. If Tokina can make the very fine 11-16mm f/2.8 and sell it for under $1000, I can't understand why Panasonic and Olympus cannot do so. Maybe Panasonic will make a new X series UWA lens after it releases the 12-35 f/2.8X and 35-100 f/2.8X, to complete the "X trinity"?

Until the f/2.8 zooms hit the market, the EM-5 is a superb body without enough good lenses to match it. It is like having a Ferrari without grippy tyres to put the horsepower to the ground
