nope i planned to go yesterday...how was the place? is it worth going? i more interested to shoot macro leh...there got bugs/flowers to take?

Bugs, not sure. I thought flowers and plants will attract all that? The place is quite new, plants and flowers are newly planted so they dont look "well grown" yet. Perhaps in 2 weeks time.

Hey guys
i need some advice, later in 2 hours i will be attending a wedding dinner.i'm bringing my cam with kit lens only.what is the basic setting to get a good portrait shoot and some group shoots?
I don't have a speedlite at the moment =/

most likely lighting conditions will be rather bad so set your ISO to 800. also open the aperture to the maximum. if possible shoot in RAW so that u can PP the photos later (like increase the brightness in dark photos)

hmm... i have not much experience in such shoot too.... maybe like what benghui have said... there is a small question, the max aperture will be good for portrait... group shoot i really don't know man... will dof come into play... as in some face in the group shoot esp on the side be blur and those ppl standing in the centre having shape imagine? Really dont know man... maybe can enlighten me.

lohkam, do share your experience /photo with us after tonight dinner... :) (actually i want to look at how pretty the bride and her friends are... just kidding...)

Hmm, still got 20 more days, than i can start uploading photos on flickr!

Wah...maybe can consider going pro then got no upload limit :bsmilie:

and you get more to make more collections/sets, so u can organize more. Considered alright for the price.

Getting a external flash is very important for that kind of events.
It helped me much when I helped my cousin to take her wedding photos.
For group photo, I think that you need at least F/5 or F/6 from my experience.
So, a flash is necessary and higher ISO might help.
